How caN

help you?

Forehead

The forehead is an 'elevator' muscle and is responsible for raising the eyes.

Years of muscle activity leads to wrinkling of the skin on the forehead as the muscle constantly lifts and relaxes. By injecting small amounts of anti wrinkle product very superficially into key areas of the muscle, the movement is greatly reduced which therefore stops further wrinkles developing and gradually reduces the appearance of deeper lines.

Frown Lines

Frowning is undeniably the main cause of the 'elevens' lines in the brow area. The muscles here can be very strong and cause deep folds between the eyes and a heavy brow. By relaxing these muscles, you will see an immediate improvement in skin smoothness and deeper lines can be greatly reduced. Please don't be tempted to have dermal filler in this area as it is incredibly high risk and can cause severe complications.

Crows Feet

Crows feet, or laughter lines are caused by scruching of the eyes during laughter, squinting or raising the cheeks. If the muscle around the eye is strong, there is more chance that this facial movement will eventually causing skin creasing, wrinkles and folds.

By injecting very small amounts of product into the area, the movement can be reduced and the muscle allowed to relax, reducing the lines significantly.

What you can expect during
& after your appointment
What are wrinkle relaxing injections?
Wrinkle relaxing injections are the most popular anti ageing treatment in the world. Nothing works quite like it or has such a fabulous effect, that's a fact!
The product works by blocking signals from the nerves that cause the muscles to contract, leaving them relaxed which significantly improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It's a temporary effect that lasts approximately 12 weeks.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
The most common facial areas are the forehead, frown and crows feet. Other muscles can be relaxed that cause bunny lines on the nose, downturned mouth and gummy smile.
Clinical issues such as teeth grinding (TMJ) and excessive underarm, hands and feet sweating can also be greatly helped by injecting into the relevant areas.

It's quick & Painless!
The treatment itself takes only a few minutes and I use very special needles which are so thin that you'll hardly feel a thing. The injections are also very superficial so you'll be comfortable throughout. If you are anxious about pain though, topical numbing cream can be used if you really need it.

How long does botox take to work?
You will start to notice the effects of the anti wrinkle injections within a couple of days. The full effect usually takes somewhere around 7-14 days.

Longevity - How long does botox last?
Everyone is different and lifestyle and environmental factors will determine how long your anti wrinkle injections last. Generally the effects peak at 7-8 weeks and begin to slowly wear off thereafter. You can have the treatment repeated after 12 weeks. â€‹

    SAFETY
    This is so important.
My clinic is thoroughly cleaned and everything I use is disposable so there is no risk of cross-contamination or infection. Masks, gloves and aprons are always worn and additional protocols are still in place to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
The treatment room has been inspected by Braintree Environmental Health and I hold a Special Treatment Licence which is available to view in the clinic. There is currently no requirement to be local authority licensed for Botox and dermal fillers, however there is for semi permanent makeup, which I do offer, therefore you can be reassured that the environment is relaxing, yet safe, clean and hygienic.
